Want More Success In Your Life?

March 20th, 2010 · No Comments

In your quest for success, do you ever feel lost or paralyzed because you don’t know what to do next, or because you’re afraid you might make the wrong decision?

If you want to see success, you must keep moving forward, even when you’re afraid. There will always be challenging or confusing moments in your life, but it’s what you do after that matters.

Making the decision to be happy and move forward despite your circumstances is important - and it’s a conscious decision. You can make it, right now.

Choosing Happiness

One of the main things you’ll notice about truly successful people is that they’re happy. Most people assume that their happiness comes from the success they’ve achieved, but it’s actually more likely that their success was borne out of their happiness. Because they found joy in life and believed in great things, they drew those things to them.

By choosing happiness over despair, you’ll be able to draw the good things in life to you, as well. While not difficult, choosing happiness takes practice.

You can focus on things like:

• The positive aspects of your work
• Helping others
• Enjoying your mate
• Past successes in your life
• Places you’ve visited
• Starting your own business
• Anything that brings you joy

Understanding How You Measure Success

Ask a person what success means to them, and they’ll often say it means being extremely rich. But, does it really? It depends on the person. Not everyone equates success with great wealth, and you don’t have to, either.

Maybe your dream is to be a missionary. Perhaps you want to stay at home with the kids, or teach school in an underprivileged area. If you do those things, and do them to the best of your ability, you’re a success!

Having financial security is nice, and great wealth might be enjoyable to the majority of people, but there are other dimensions that need to be fulfilled that are of even greater importance.

What kind of legacy you leave behind, and how much joy you get from your life, can have a lot of significance for the world in which you live. One of the surest ways to see success in your life is to focus on what you can do for others.

Following Your Dreams

Instant gratification is one of the biggest obstacles you’ll need to combat in your mind. After years of instantaneous satisfaction of food, entertainment, and pleasure, you may think that your dreams must be fulfilled as easily and quickly, too. But what if it doesn’t happen? Well it’s awfully disappointing, isn’t it?

It’s easy to get discouraged when your dreams don’t come true as quickly as you’d like, but keep working toward your goals anyway. Avoid letting other people in your life talk you out of success. Most importantly, avoid talking yourself out of your dreams.

Success should always be measured by what you feel in your heart. You can listen to the opinions of others, but the only opinion of success that matters is the one you create for yourself.

Pay attention to how you really feel about your dreams and keep yourself focused on your pursuit of great success. When you achieve what you set out to, you’ll experience a triumphant joy like never before!

Visualize The Way To Your Dream Life…

January 31st, 2010 · No Comments

Do you know how the life of your dreams looks? Really know what it looks like and how it feels to live it on every level of your existence?

We all set goals in different areas of our lives, such as health, relationships or careers. Some of us also visualize these goals by creating images in our minds or physically on our wall or computer. This is even more effective, as this will assist in bringing these goals into reality.

By visualizing them in detail, they will become more and more real to yourself and particularly your subconscious mind. Especially when you really feel like you have already achieved these goals.

Your mind works like a magnet; whatever energy vibrations you send out with your thoughts and feelings is exactly what you will attract to your life with regard to events, people or circumstances that will assist you to reach your goals.

I want to share with you a way to apply these principles in an extremely powerful way; by visualizing your dream life like being at the movies.

A blockbuster is showing called “My Dream Life”. Close your eyes, and start ‘acting’ as the star in your own future! Imagine your life five years from now. You have achieved the goals and dreams you had set for yourself and you are truly living the life you wish to manifest.

Describe in as much detail as you can:

Where do you live; at the beach, in the mountains?

What does your house look like?

How will you look; healthier, fitter and younger?

Who will you be spending your time with? How much time will you be able to dedicate these persons and what will you be doing?

To whom or what will you be able to contribute today? How does this make you feel?

What is your level of happiness, and your level of gratitude and excitement?

Really get into this. Give yourself permission to dream big!  See yourself living a wonderful life in health, wealth, spirituality and social activities. Really feel like you are living this amazing life and know you deserve it.

My recommendation is to do this when you first awaken, before getting out of bed, and last thing at night. Why not spend the first and last five minutes of your day in your future dream life?

Please share your success ,at the movies. I know it works for me.

Forget New Year Resolutions…

December 29th, 2009 · No Comments

They ususally end up as disappointments when a few days later we find that our actions have not quite followed our good intentions.

So instead why not try a great idea given to me by my friend Bob The Teacher?

First of all make a list of all your successes in 2009.

Here are some of my successes to give you an idea:

Completed my enforced move from Spain to UK.                                                                Moved into a new apartment
Continued to help my brother as he recovered from a major cancer operation by working in his Car Repair Business.
Visited Belfast for a weekend break with my son.
Met with Bob The Teacher in London for a power lunch.
Continued to increase the subscribers to my blog.

These successes have given me the confidence to work even harder on the things I want to achieve in 2010.

Forward thinking is the key to achieving all you want in the year ahead.

So, try it yourself. Instead of making the usual list of things you must do next year, first write down all your successes, however small, for 2009.

THEN:

Make a list of all the success you will have in 2010

Write them as if you have already achieved them and then write a list of actions you will take to bring you to where you want to be.

I will do my bit to work with you in 2010 to make it the best year of your life so far.

Here’s to you!

Do You Need a Change?

August 22nd, 2009 · No Comments

Have you ever decided that it was time for a change? At first, there is recognition of the need to change. Either you realize it, or someone else indicates it to you. But, just recognizing that a change is needed does not change anything.

Like everything else, change starts in your mind first, and that’s where the battle will take place. Your mind will object to changes. “No! I don’t want to exercise every day. I don’t have enough time! What if I overdo it?” The mind objects to leaving the comfortable environment that it is so accustomed to.

The reason that change is difficult for most people is that we all like to be comfortable, and change interrupts our comfortable routine; it interrupts our comfort zone. Even if our comfortable routine is not bringing us the results in life that we really desire, we choose to remain in the routine, instead of making the decision to change.

It doesn’t matter whether the changes are little changes or big changes, your mind will always have some objections to it.

Keep in mind these two things whenever you really desire to change something in your life. First, consistently remind yourself of the goal or reason for the change. For example, say “I’m going to exercise every day so that I can be healthier, have more energy, and live longer,” or, “I’m going to spend the time and money to take this course so that I can improve my skills and have more to offer.”

You need to keep reminding yourself of the reason why. If you don’t, your mind will come back with all kinds of reasons why you don’t need to change anything! Your mind will object by telling you that everything is just fine the way it is! But you must take charge of your mind! Make your mind focus on the goal.

And here’s the second thing. Be patient. If you’re consistent and persistent, the change will come.

If you take a pot of boiling water off the stove and put in four ice cubes, is that water cool enough to drink? No. But if you keep adding ice cubes, over and over, eventually that boiling water will change to ice cold water.

Change takes time. And many times our minds will get impatient during a period of change. There will be thoughts like, “Oh this isn’t working, it’s just not happening.” Or, “I don’t see the point in continuing with this.” In other words, the mind is suggesting that you ought to quit and go back to where things were nice and comfortable where things were easy and there wasn’t so much to do!

When those kind of thoughts pop up, you need to remind yourself of why you have decided to put in this time and effort. In other words, remind yourself of why you desire this change. Remind yourself that change takes time, and that if you’re consistent and persistent, you will see the results that you really desire.

And always remember that change is a part of life. Realizing that makes life exciting! With God’s help, you can indeed make the change! Don’t be afraid of change, embrace it!

The time and effort required for change may vary, but the outcome of reaching the desired destination will far outweigh all the time and effort once you arrive!

Comfort zones are just another resting place on the road of life. They are a place to regroup and expand your foundation. They give you a launching pad for the next exciting adventure of life!
If you’re current routine is not bringing you the results that you desire, then it’s time to move out of your comfort zone! If it’s time for a change in your life!

I Saw This and Thought Of You…

July 15th, 2008 · No Comments

I saw this a while ago and tried it out.  Shazam!!  Things really started to happen. Try it for yourself!

If you just whistle every now and then;

Skip every thousandth step or so;

Skim the odd stone across the odd pond;

Go dancing on the occasional blue moon, if only alone in the dark;

Dress up sometimes, even with nowhere to go…

For simply stirring up some little bit of hope, no matter how silly or disconnected your actions seem to be with the rest of the world, magic flashes in the unseen, friends are summoned, connections are timed, stars are aligned, opportunities are crystallized and serendipities are calculated, creating possibilities for new realities that cannot now even be imagined from where you presently stand.

And you thought “buy low, sell high” was sage advice.

The Journey of Personal Growth…..

March 19th, 2008 · No Comments

What happened to you?

Seriously, what event or experience made you begin a journey of personal growth?

Have you had that burning desire to discover and learn more about yourself and your abilities since you were a kid?

Did something traumatic happen to you that made you start asking different internal questions?

Were you simply captivated by the savvy marketing of the idea you could be, do, and have more?

Why do you want more to begin with?

What’s missing in your life that drives you on a quest to find it?

What’s the point of all these questions?

It’s simple…

If you look at the answers to all of these questions you’ll find one common theme…

Your desire to create personal growth is directly created from something you DON’T have.

In other words, something you lack.

In the world of personal development and growth the word lack is often pegged with a negative energy.

When in reality, nothing is created in your life or in your personal experience by you unless there is a lack of it to begin with.

Want more money? Why?

Want to be thinner? Why?

Want a loving and fulfilling relationship? Why?

Want a better job? Why?

The point is, if you already had these things you’d never have a desire to get them.

That desire to get things we don’t have or understand, and to learn about things we don’t yet know, is the spark that set’s us into forward momentum.

Without having a lack of something in your life, you lose purpose and meaning.

Having something to seek out and discover empowers us to learn more about ourselves and the Universe we live in.

It’s a perfect design!

Because once we achieve these things or acquire what we don’t have, our minds instantly begin to try to understand and make sense of all of the new possibilities that are beyond what we just acquired.

Use that feeling of lack for what it’s there for…

To drive you forward. Don’t be afraid of it or avoid it.

It’s the very first step on every meaningful journey…

The Power of The Law of Attraction…

March 7th, 2008 · No Comments

The Law of Attraction is one of the most powerful laws in the universe. According to it like attracts like. That is why creatures of the same kind attract each other. Wherever there is one ant, you will find many more; wherever there is one farmer you will find several farmers; wherever there is a lone sheep or cow you will find a herd. We all know that wolves hunt in groups; and fish swim in packs. But have we tried to find out why?

We never analyze how we make friends or companions. But if we do we will find that our friends are like us in most ways. They share the same values, the same lifestyles, the same ideas, and the same goals. This is what the Law of Attraction does; it brings all those things together that are alike.

True love

Most successful marriages are those where the man and woman are alike. The marriages where men and women have different tastes, different likes and different interests don’t last long. They fall apart. The apparent reasons for these marriages falling apart may be stress, workplace pressure or extra-marital affairs, but the base reason is always the same. The union in the first place was of two people who were not alike. They came together against the Law of Attraction. That is why they could not stay together even though they were bound by vows of holy matrimony.

In contrast, two individuals who are alike continue to live together as man and woman under the same roof even if they are not married. The society used to frown on such relationships but it could not force such couples to part ways. They have been brought together by the Law of Attraction. Theirs is not a relationship of convenience; theirs is a relationship based on shared values, shared likes and shared goals. This is what true love is. It is the joining of two hearts, two minds and two bodies that are alike.

How to draw true love

True love takes shape without our knowledge. In fact, have we ever stopped and wondered why we are attracted to a particular girl or a particular boy? There may be ten girls in a class of 25. How is it that we are attracted to one girl alone? How is it that we continue to come closer to that girl only, and not to other girls who may be equally pretty?

The first reaction of any such couple is that they are alike. Great. But how did they find each other? They were lucky; of course. They happened to be in the same class, is what they will tell you. But what about millions of other couples? Some met on a road, some in a train, some at a local dance, some in the church. But all bonded together. How?

This is where true love comes in. You don’t have to find true love; it finds you. You only have to recognize it. On first reading, it may sound bizarre. But the reality is that our thoughts are not limited to our mind. They are like waves of energy that keep radiating from our minds. When this energy collides with similar energy radiating from another mind, true love springs up. This is what we call a meeting of minds.

Love and lust

It is also love at first sight. However, for this love to blossom and bloom it has to go past physical lust. Often, the physical desire blocks the thoughts that our minds are radiating. We are so obsessed with each other that our minds refuse to tune in to each other’s thoughts. Such relationships, even when they get converted into marriage, are unlikely to last long.

That is why dating is so useful. It gives couples sufficient time to listen to each other’s unspoken thoughts. Their minds either continue to come closer or move apart. That is why we say that at times young couples have a mind of their own. They may be heartbroken if such relationships break. But their grief would only be temporary. The heartbreak would be much worse if the couples don’t listen to their inner mind, and hope that they can change their partners once they get married. It will never happen..

Healthy relationships

The Law of Attraction is not limited to the world of love alone. It operates in the professional and the social world too. It is this law that brings two individuals together to forge a successful business partnership. It is also this law that brings two thieves or two crooks together – because their minds radiate the same thoughts.

Everything would be so simple if this law worked properly. Individuals who shared the same likes would live together; individuals who shared different viewpoints would live in their own world. But this does not happen. How often do we read in newspapers of a good man destroyed by a trusted colleague? How often we share tales of a rich man lured by a shark?

This happens when we switch off our mental antennas or when we close our minds to negative thoughts. We get blinded by our desires. There is no meeting of minds but a meeting of interests. When this happens we are bound to lose. This is where good men go astray.

That is why it is important to build social or professional relationships with an open mind. If you get a feeling that everything is not right about a person you have met, you must respect that feeling. Don’t allow monetary interests to overpower your feelings. Avoid that individual before it is too late.

This will allow you to build relationships that are in your interest, relationships that you will cherish – not regret

Creating What You Want in Your Life

January 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Do you ever feel like you’ve tried just about everything to create something in your life yet, for some unknown reason, it keeps alluding you? You try and try and even struggle to get what you want and still come up short. many of us just end up giving up out of pure exhaustion and frustration.

Well, the truth is that just at that point of exhaustion and frustration you are closer to manifesting than you think.

Why is this so?

The reason anything in our lives is difficult to manifest or create is because we have an unconscious block that prevents us from manifesting that desire.

Our feelings of frustration are trying to help us and tell us something is going on deep within. Something that needs our attention, love and acceptance.

Have you heard of the ‘Law of Attraction’? Well, it’s real. These unconscious blocks act like a magnet to keep attracting the same old same old to us until they are cleared.

I had been struggling to grow my business for almost a year. For years I had tried and tried to start my own business. I was never short of ideas, always full of energy, very customer orientated and would dive in head first and spend hours, days, even months planning and setting everything up. I did this over and over again but somehow never progressed beyond this point.

I read ‘How To’ books until I had a bookcase full but still without any success. Until, I bagan to seek the underlying reason or cause why my business ideas would never succeed. I finally got to the core issue and for me it was ‘fear of failure and deserving’.

I discovered this began in my childhood. My father was a school teacher, who in those days were not paid well for what they did. Although we never went without money was always tight and my father always said that those with wealth or with their own business must be up to some fiddle!

I began to identify my limiting belief of ‘I don’t deserve’ and ‘all business owners are crooked’ and clear them.

The results were amazing. Suddenly I was able to take my business seyond the set-up point and began to obtain customers and to see the beginnings of success.

I feel lighter. I had no idea I was attracting experiences that were reinforcing my unconscious beliefs that ‘I was afraid of success’. I can now see how this limiting belief had woven its way through much of my life and experiences.

Until we become aware of our unconscious beliefs and thoughts, we will continue to create the same struggles and challenges in our lives. we don’t realise it, but the beliefs and thoughts that lie in the subconscious were created as far back as our early childhood. It is a fact that by the age of 7 a child either believes the world is safe or not, and that he or she is lovable or not lovable.

Those beliefs play themselves out in our everyday lives, attracting to us the like vibrations and reinforcing the limiting beliefs. Not only in business but with our health and relationships.

What can we do about it?

We need to find a way to journey within and identify these unconscious beliefs and clear them. Take some time for meditation using guided imagery. Work with your subconscious to gently come to understand your own blocks.

Find a few minutes every day and you will be amazed at just how quickly you can discover and clear these negative blockages,

If you need help in finding a way to commence your journey of discovery, then I can recommend a great resource which I know will help you.

http://AskBobLampard.com/recommends/heartsdesire.php

Don’t let another day go by feeling anything less than passionately radiant, vibrant and joyful.

http://AskBobLampard.com/recommends/heartsdesire.php

Let me know if you have had a similar experience or indeed have discovered your own blockage.
